Gabriela Burgman, President of Claiming Space

Gabriela “Gabby” Burgman, President of Claiming Space, holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and a Masters Degree in Information Science from the University of Michigan.  She worked for six years in colleges and universities as an archivist and records manager, where she assisted academic offices, administrators, and retiring academics in sorting through their files for preservation or disposal.  Tired of not having enough time to teach organization skills and follow up with her clients, Gabriela decided to take her experience and become a professional organizer.  She completed a six month apprenticeship in 2007-2008 taught by Erin Elizabeth Wells, a Certified Professional Organizer and director of Living Peace, before opening her own business Office Renaissance [later to become Claiming Space].

Since then, Gabriela has helped home office dwellers organize productive and pleasurable work environments.  When she is not working with clients, Gabriela serves as the Web Chair for the local NAPO New England chapter.

In her off time, Gabriela heeds her own advice and spends time on what matters most to her: visiting with family and friends, reading a good mystery book, or cooking a fabulous meal.

Gabriela is a proud member of:
